Galfan coated Gabions

Galfan gabions are made of Galfan coated steel wire mesh

in accordance with ASTM A856M. A corrosion resistant coating consisting of a zinc base followed by a 7.2% zinc/aluminum alloy that offers better corrosion and abrasion resistance for gabions in a corrosive environment. Performance is superior to gabions made of galvanized or PVC coated steel wires. They are widely used for channel linings and coastal applications and come in welded wire versions with a variety of wire thicknesses and mesh openings.

Note ... Galfan gabions are slightly higher in cost than galvanized gabions, but offer 2-3 times the service life and corrosion resistance of galvanized gabions

CORTEN "WEATHERED" STEEL GABIONS
