GABION PROS - A VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS
Gabion check dams are among the most common soil and water conservation practices used around the world.
A check dam is a small dam constructed across a drainage ditch, swale, or channel to lower the velocity of water flow. As the dam reduces runoff velocity, it also acts to reduce soil erosion and gullying in the channel and allows sediments to settle out.
HESCO "FLOODLINE" STORM & FLOOD BARRIERS are modular multi-cellular gabions made in USA and used extensively as rapid deployment of storm or flood defense walls
They are constructed of zinc coated steel welded mesh and lined with a durable non-woven geotextile fabric.
Pre-fabricated units are shipped folded flat and come in 15 ft lengths consisting of 5 cells, each measuring
36" wide x 48" high (36 cu ft per cell / 180 cu ft total) when extended.
Following extension, cells can be filled with sand or loose earth fill materials creating a effective flood defense wall.
SAVE TIME AND MONEY IN AN EMERGENCY
A HESCO "FLOODLINE" BARRIER is the ideal solution for emergency storm and flood response, with significant advantages over traditional sandbags, saving time and cost of labor for filling and installation.
A wall constructed of HESCO earth-filled barriers can be filled by two people with a front-end loader in just 20 minutes. The equivalent sized wall of 1,500 sandbags can take 10 people up to 7 hours to fill and build.
