SACK GABIONS

 Our Sack Gabions are wire mesh baskets constructed of 11 ga (0.120) double-twisted galvanized steel mesh or 12 ga (0.106) galvanized steel with a PVC coating anf formed into cylindrical tube. These gabions are assembled with a heavier gauge edge selvage wire in the factory, folded flat and stacked on wooden pallets for truck shipping. Lacing wire is included with the shipment. 

When filled with rocks at the project site, these sack gabions are usually lifted via crane and hoisted in place. They are stacked layer by layer and sometimes interleaved with geo-textile fabric between layers to add stability and prevent wear of PVC coatings. Common applications include: deep water flood control, ocean wave energy dissipation, bridge and river bank protection and more
