Our PRO-TEC I™ WELDED WIRE GABIONS are highly durable and versatile, making them a popular choice for constructing a gabion retaining wall plus a variety of applications. They are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, such as heavy rain, strong winds, and freezing temperatures. Also, the permeable nature of gabions allows water to flow through the structure, which helps prevent erosion and soil displacement. Our standard size gabions are pre-assembled in the factory and shipped knocked down in flat packs and supplied with helical assembly spirals, corner stiffeners and tie wire... all the necessary components for assembly.
These containers are typically used to construct retaining walls, landscaping and decorative architectural applications.
Gabions are usually filled at the job site with durable rocks and when uniformly stacked, produce an appearance of a natural dry stone wall.

PRO-TEC I ™ Gabions are fabricated In accordance with ASTM A974, gabions are manufactured with all panels mechanically connected at the production facility. They are supplied in collapsed form and stacked in bundles for easy job site assembly. Where the length of the gabion exceeds the width, the length is divided equally into cells using diaphragm panels so that each cell is no greater than one cubic yard. Each gabion is supplied with enough accessories (vertical spirals, temporary fasteners, lacing wire, and preformed stiffeners (3’ high baskets only)) to completely assemble and install, with minimal tools required.
See gabion & mattress installation guide. All PRO-TEC gabions are made in the USA.
